(Mountain) biking

Far away from the hassle and chaotic traffic of South Bali, biking is a good way to explore the North – departing from Villa Bossi you can either bike from village to village along the coast line or go for the more challenging hills and mountains of the hinterland. Get totally immersed in the environment – hear the wind rustling in the rice paddies, the sound of a gamelan practicing and catch the sent of flowers. Pick the smallest roads and remember that no matter how lost you get, locals are always happy to help you with directions.

Villa Bossi guests can bring their own bike but good quality mountain bikes are available at very reasonable rates for long and short term rent (between IDR 20,000-30,000 / day). Rented bikes are delivered at the doorstep of the villa.

Villa Bossi guests can also join organized 1-day cycling tours (with guide). The more popular cycling tours include:

• Kintamani cycling tour: ride down quiet mountain roads soaking up the lush scenery, the beautiful panorama of Kintamani and the spectacular volcanic landscape of Batur. Most tours take around 3 hours and cover 25 kilometer, mostly downhill.
• Bedugul cycling tour: Bedugul, located in the mountains of North Bali is famous for its Bratan lake and Ulun Danu Temple. The cool temperature and beautiful panorama make this a perfect getaway for an exciting day of (mountain) biking.
• Ubud cycling tours: we recommend Villa Bossi guests to consider a biking tour in and around Ubud when visiting the artistic hart of Bali. Riding a bike in Ubud is the perfect way to visit the many museums and cultural sites. More adventurous bikers will enjoy the ups and downs of the hills around Ubud as they cross the river valleys and rice paddies.
