Its greatest charm, undoubtedly, is its wide range and variety of sites – shipwrecks, vertical drop-offs, rich black sand bays, mangroves, deep coral-covered ridges and clear, current-swept reefs. In addition, the triangle Philippines, Bali and western New Guinea encloses the richest tropical marine fauna in the world, with 80 genera of coral and perhaps 2,500 species of reef fishes. The Caribbean, by contrast, has twenty genera of coral and maybe 800 reef fishes!
