About Bali
Yes, next to your international passport (with at least 1 full empty page and 6 months validity) you need a visa to enter Bali. Visa for a period up to 30 days can be bought upon arrival at USD 25 per person (± EUR 18). For guests residing in Bali for more than 1 month, we recommend to obtain a visa from the Indonesian Embassy in your home country before departure.
Bali, and especially North Bali where Villa Bossi is located, is very safe.
The Lonely Planet, the number 1 travel guide in the world, describes it as follows: “It’s important to note that compared with many places in the world, Bali is fairly safe. There are some hassles from the avaricious, but most visitors face more dangers at home. Petty theft occurs but it is not prevalent.”.
However, for your safety and comfort, we have set up a joint security system with the other surrounding villas. There are security guards in the evening, at night and also during the day on Sundays and Public Holidays.
Bali is a relatively small island and has only 1 international airport, the Ngura Rai airport in Denpasar. Villa Bossi has a comfortable car and offers its guests an airport pick-up. The journey from the airport to the villa crosses through some of the most beautiful parts of the island and takes 2.5 hours.
Bali is a cash country and vendors prefer to be paid in cash. Most restaurants and larger shops, however, will accept major credit cards.
The official currency of Bali (Indonesia) is the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). Indonesian Rupiah are not available in every country. We advise you to bring Euro or USD and to have them exchanged in Rupiah in Bali. You can also withdraw money from the ATM in Lovina or Seririt.
